About Us
Founded August 1, 2011, Leslie A. Williams Insurance Services has quickly grown into a full-service health insurance agency.
We specialize in small groups, individual policies (including family) and working with senior clients. We are experts in navigating the Covered California system, not only with Covered California directly but also with the providers and insurance companies. Leslie is a native to California. She has resided in Redding for 18 years and has been helping individuals and families, seniors and small business owners since 2001 with their insurance needs. Leslie is a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters and currently the Co-President of the North Valley Association of Health Underwriters, as well as Professional Development Chair. She has also served other Board positions with the Association of Health Underwriters in the past leading to her current position.
Leslie enjoys spending time with her husband Greg of 30 years and two children, Kevin and Kara. She loves the outdoors and the pace of the North State and what it has to offer.
Leslie has always believed that “It's the service that counts”. Jennifer G. Lindstrand, Office Manager/Agent CA Licence #0M01421
Jennifer attended California State University Chico and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Computer Graphics and Animation. She went on to work for a start-up wireless internet as a department manager where she helped build the customer service department and develop company policies and procedures. When she returned to her hometown of Redding in 2004 she stayed in the corporate environment for another decade, specializing in accounting. Desiring a change of pace, she was hired on at Blue Shield with the Federal Employee Program and worked on the special projects team.
In 2015 she started working part-time with Leslie A. Williams Insurance Services. This grew into an office management role as the business rapidly expanded and she obtained her Health Insurance License in 2017. With her resume she brings a unique skill set with a background in efficient management, customer service, benefits, dealing with claims and appealing denials, as well as other nuances of the health insurance industry. She is always looking for a better way to do a task and improving our processes. Leslie often calls Jennifer her “right hand” or “mini-me”.
Recently married, she and her husband, Erik, are working on remodeling their home. Erik is a excellent woodworker and has built many beautiful doors, cabinets and custom moldings for both his clients and personal use.
Desiree Keener, Administrative Assistant
Desiree is the cheerful voice that answers the phone and the friendly face you see when you come in the door.
She was born in Clovis, CA and spent her childhood years living in the Netherlands with her grandparents. Once back in the states she and her mother spent some time in Colorado before they made California their home. They settled in the bay area until she and her husband moved to Shasta County in 2016 so that she could attend Shasta College as a double major. Desiree received her Associates in Animal Science and Associates in Agriculture Business from Shasta College in 2020.
She worked on a local ranch as a farm hand caring for animals until she became pregnant with her son, Colton. About a year after Colton was born she joined our team.
When Desiree is not working, she spends time with her husband, their son, Colton, and their newest addition- a little girl. After Collyns was born in October of 2022, Desiree came back to work with 4 week old baby in tow, much to the delight of our customers and staff. She spent the first 5 months of her life as our office mascot!
Desiree and her family enjoy four-wheeling in their off-road jeep and spending quiet time together with the kids. She has recently taken up crocheting and has turned out to be quite a natural at it!
